Member Spotlight: Peter Smulovics

Peter Smulovics brings decades of experience in the .NET ecosystem, currently leading Windows and .NET Development Practices at Morgan Stanley. Prior to this, he spent over ten years at Microsoft, contributing to key technologies including .NET, C#, and Azure, as well as enhancements across Visual Studio, SQL Server, Dynamics, and HoloLens.

Today, Peter focuses on both server-side platforms and client-side innovation, including hybrid open-source desktop solutions for .NET and web UI. His work also extends to .NET build tooling, framework maintenance, and developer experience improvements.

A recognized thought leader, Peter is a frequent speaker at global conferences and a published author. He is actively involved in the open-source community, contributing to projects such as NHibernate and NVelocity, and plays a leadership role within FINOS at The Linux Foundation, where he co-chairs initiatives on Open Source Readiness and Emerging Technologies.

With a career spanning multiple industries and decades, Peter continues to make a significant impact through innovation, mentorship, and community leadership—including organizing initiatives like the FSI Autism Hackathon.
